Veronica Weymouth |
Veronica is a native of Newport News. She
graduated from Menchville High School and
attended Mary Washington College and
received her BA in English from Christopher
Newport College. She grew up above the
funeral home and started working full-time
there after the passing of her father in
1995. She is a board member of the
Independent Funeral Homes of Virginia
serving as Secretary/Treasurer.
Veronica was
on the ground floor of organizing the
Peninsula Relay for Life and served many
years on the steering committee as well as
the Chairperson. She has been an American
Cancer Society Ambassador and was the ACS
“Making Strides” spokesperson the past two
years. She was the recipient of the ACS 2007
Terry Zahn award. She was a member of the Newport News
Planning Commission Task Force and a
graduate of the 2009 Civic Leadership
Institute. She was a former member of the
Mary Immaculate Women’s Task Force. She’s a
member of the Peninsula Track Club and has
competed in 7 marathons around the country
including Boston. She’s married to
Christopher Papile and resides in Newport
News. |

Monte German |
Monte was born in Gloucester, Virginia and
graduated from Menchville High School in
1973. He attended Virginia Tech and
graduated with a Mortuary Degree from John
Tyler Community College with honors in 1990.
He started working at Weymouth Funeral Home
in 1980. He has served the community by
coaching Warwick Moose Little League for 10
years and also serving as League President.
He has spent over 20 years serving as a Boy
Scout Leader for Troop #1711. For the past
12 years, he has orchestrated the “Hope” and
“Cure” lighting at Relay for Life. Monte has
been married to Janet Weymouth-German for 33
years and has twin boys, Dustin and Ashley.
The light of his life is his grandson,
Tobey. |

Terry Cejka |
Terry was born in Cambridge, England by way
of the military and was raised in Tampa, FL.
He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS
John Kennedy and was assigned to the Naval
Regional Dental Center . He received his AAS
Degree in Funeral Service Education from
John Tyler Community College in Chester, VA
in 1985, Magna Cum Laude.
He is licensed in
Virginia and North Carolina. He joined the
staff of Weymouth Funeral Home in 1994. He’s
a member of Bethel Baptist Church and a
member of the Denbigh Kiwanis Club. His
wife, Shelia, and his dogs Lucy Lou and
Haley Caroline complete his family. He is an
avid fan of University of North Carolina
Tarheels and the Dallas Cowboys. |
