Aniceta Cachaper Mangosing, 80, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was born in the Philippines and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition from Centro Escolar University. She settled in Newport News in the 1970’s with her Navy husband, Daniel Fontecha Mangosing. She retired from Roses Department store and was a faithful member of St. Jerome’s Catholic Church.

Aniceta was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel F. Mangosing. She is survived by her children, Elisa Mangosing-Lemmon and her husband, Jack of Williamsburg, Daniel C. Mangosing, Jr. and his wife, Lynn of  Williamsburg, Michael Mangosing of New York, NY and Brian Mangosing  and his wife, Pauline of Denver, CO; her siblings, Nena Gonzalez, Rosario Feria, Rufino Cachaper, Pedro Cachaper, Basilio Cachaper and Lourdes Galliguez; and her grandchildren, Daniel Felipe, Andrew Ross, Nicholas Scott, Matthew Diego and Ana Elise.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 1:00-1:45p.m. at St. Bede’s Catholic Church in Williamsburg. A Funeral Mass will begin at 2:00p.m. at the church.  Interment will take place on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 11:00a.m. at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Riverside Health System Foundation. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral home.
