A private family service was held at Weymouth Funeral Home.

Brian Andrew Forrest, 57, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2020 at Riverside Regional Medical Center. Brian was a native of Newport News and was a lifelong Peninsula resident. He leaves us with many memories… He was a Ferguson High School Mariner and worked in the construction field most of his life. He had no fear - doing roofing in some precarious places where most of us would never go! He was very involved and passionate about civil war reenactments. He traveled to many places to participate in these reenactments including Gettysburg, PA. He was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. One of Brian’s greatest gifts was his connection to people - He never met a stranger and could make friends the instant he met them. Many referred to him lovingly as "the life of the party."

He had a special relationship with his niece, Logan & his nephew, Brady - whom he loved dearly. Brian and David had that special relationship that exists only between brothers; Brian loved David & David loved Brian. Of course, if you knew Brian, you knew he loved his mom dearly and he expressed that very clearly by caring for her over the years. Brian was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth W. Forrest.

A private family service was held at Weymouth Funeral Home.

Death takes the body

God takes the soul

Our minds hold the memories

Our hearts keep the love

Our faith lets us know, we'll meet again.

What a great picture! He looks like he’s on the verge of busting out in laughter. Brian was always upbeat, happy, laughing, loving and bringing smiles to faces of everyone he came in contact with. He will truly be missed. My prayers go out to David, Doris and Family.
