Karen Lambdin Merritt, 59, of Virginia Beach, VA left this earth on April 25, 2020 to be with our Lord. She was born on July 21, 1960 in Tacoma, Washington and was a lifelong resident of Virginia Beach, VA. She is survived by her partner in life, Jack McDonough; her sons, Thomas, Jr (Melissa) Merritt and Justin (Kitty) Merritt; her mother, Janet Ridgwell; brothers, Dan Lambdin, Jr., David Lambdin, George Ridgwell III; sister, Laura Lucas; step sister, Deborah Christopher; step brother, Michael Ridgwell and her 5 Grandchildren: Alana, Ryan, Roselyn, Silas, and Margot.

She is predeceased by her father, Daniel Lambdin, Sr.; stepfather, George Ridgwell, Jr. and brother Ronald Lambdin.

Karen graduated from Kempsville High School and worked most of her life as business manager for Masonry Paving, Co.

Karen was the spunk of our lives and we will miss seeing her breathtaking sky-blue eyes. She left this life the same way she came into it, standing firm and persistent in doing things her way.

Karen had a heart of gold and for those she loved, she loved with passion. Her sons and her grandchildren were the light and pride of her life.

We now realize it is just as hard to say goodbye as it was to watch her suffer. She will be missed greatly but we are all thankful we had her in our lives. May she find peace.
