Loretta M. Thomas, 65, was born on July 5, 1954 with Downs Syndrome. She was the child of the late Joseph Francis Thomas and Viola Chiaverini Thomas. Her death on Sunday, April 19, 2020 was due to complications of dementia. Her family was by her side as she met the angels. She resided with her sister and caregiver, Lucille Thomas Harr and her husband, Norman Harr for many years. She is also survived by two nephews and their children.

She was a strong hugger to the point where she could break a rib by hugging so tightly. She enjoyed anything that was fun including playing in the pool, going on trips, bowling, being with people and sneaking and eating lots of sweets. She enjoyed coloring and drawing. Her coloring was beautiful to perfection. She once drew a bicycle that was very detailed from the wheel spokes to the handlebars. That picture is hanging in her room; she was very proud of her work. She was a gentle person who was always eager to please and always with a smile on her face. She loved animals. Our current two dogs who were with her to the end lovingly watching over her.

She is going to be sadly missed by not only her immediate family but many family friends and cousins. Her burial will be in McKeesport, Pennsylvania at a later date. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.

Time flies...even for an angel living on earth! While we are certain the Lord walked by her side every day, we are even more certain that He is now visible to her. Loretta was a "hugger", both strong and long. Lucille, I remember you saying to Loretta, "OK, let him breath!" or some words to that end. The Lord is probably smiling and saying, "OK, let me breath." Someday it will be wonderful to experience her full personality, which, we're sure, will still be dominated by LOVE. Well, I have often, recently, prayed to my sister who died the same day she was born. Now their is another saint for us to pray to. Eternal rest grant unto her. May her soul rest in peace.

Remembering visits with Loretta, watching her play with your dog and mine(Rose's dog, Sara). She happily let them run through the house, just being their friend. Ours prayers are with your family. May Loretta's soul rest in peace with God.
