Martin Andrew Pennington, 63, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland   and was a resident of the Hampton Roads area since the 1960s. He attended Bethel High School before starting his career as a pipefitter. Martin owned his own home improvement business.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marco and Noreen Pennington. He will be forever remembered by his six siblings, Michael (Deborah), Patricia (Thomas), Catherine, David (Wendy), Jean (Neal), Joseph (Rhonda); his five loving children; Becky Mielewski, Angel Thompson (Prentiss), Charles Eason, Nick Pennington and Ali Pennington; seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews to cherish his memories. Martin had many lifelong friends to include his best friend and brother in-law, Phil Bannon, who stood by his side, escorting him to all his appointments and treatments.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 18, 2019 from 6-7:30p.m. at Weymouth Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 11:00a.m. by Rev. Nick Redmond of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church  at Weymouth Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. The family wishes to thank Virginia Oncology, Personal Touch and Weymouth Funeral Home.
