Our staff is dedicated to the community and participates in a variety of activities.
VERONICA WEYMOUTH
President, Owner
Veronica serves on the Boys & Girls Club of the Virginia Peninsula, Board of Directors as Vice President and received the 2017 New Board Member of the Year Award. She was appointed to the Christopher Newport University Education Foundation Board in 2021. Veronica started the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer 5K Walk on the Peninsula in 2012 serving as Chairperson for 4 years and received the American Cancer Society’s Terry Zahn Award and the ACS Award of Excellence.
She was a committee member on the Newport News Planning Commission Framework for the Future and a member of Impact 100. She served as Vice President of the Independent Funeral Homes of Virginia and was a 2009 Civic Leadership graduate. She was involved many years with Relay for Life, serving as Chairperson several times. She has competed in 7 marathons around the country including Boston. She’s married to Christopher Papile and resides in Newport News.
MONTE GERMAN
Licensed Funeral Director, General Manager
Monte was born in Gloucester, Virginia and graduated from Menchville High School in 1973. He attended Virginia Tech and graduated with a Mortuary Degree from John Tyler Community College with honors in 1990. He started working at Weymouth Funeral Home in 1980. He served the community by coaching Warwick Moose Little League and also served as League President.
He has spent over 20 years serving as a Boy Scout Leader for Troop #1711. For 12 years, he orchestrated the “Hope” and “Cure” lighting at Relay for Life. He is a faithful blood donor for the American Red Cross having donated monthly for over 5 years. Monte has been married to Janet Weymouth-German for 40 years and has twin boys, Dustin and Ashley. The light of his life are his grandchildren, Tobey, Lillian Etta, Fenton, Calvin, Emmitt, and Charles Monte.
TERRY CEJKA
Licensed Funeral Director
Terry was born in Cambridge, England by way of the military and was raised in Tampa, FL. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS John F. Kennedy and was assigned to the Naval Regional Dental Center in Norfolk, VA. He received his AAS Degree in Funeral Service Education from John Tyler Community College in Chester, VA in 1985, Magna Cum Laude.
Terry is licensed in Virginia and North Carolina. He joined the staff of Weymouth Funeral Home in 1994. He attends Lebanon Christian Church and is a member of the Denbigh Kiwanis Club. His wife, Shelia, and his dogs Lucy and Haley complete his family. He is an avid fan of University of North Carolina Tarheels and the Dallas Cowboys.
BETH RAYMOND
Office Administrator
Beth is originally from Maryland, and has been a resident of Newport News for many years. She grew up in an Army family, traveling from coast to coast. Beth has two Boxers, Whiskey and Zero.
Beth is interested in beekeeping and bat conservation. She enjoys traveling, reading, and nature.
Beth received her bachelor's from Old Dominion University in 2012. She joined the staff at Weymouth Funeral Home in February 2017.
