Beverly "Bev" Dawn Jones

Celebration of Life Service: 6:30 p.m., Monday, May 24, 2021

Location: Weymouth Funeral Home

Visitation: Following the Service

Location: Weymouth Funeral Home

Beverly “Bev” Dawn Jones, 67, went to be with the Lord peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 15, 2021. She was a lifelong resident of Hampton Roads. Beverly followed in her mother’s footsteps and received her nursing degree at the age of 50. She retired from Riverside Health system in 2017. Bev was known as the rebel child yet loved by all. In her free time, she could be found on the back of a Harley and when not riding she would spend hours in her flower beds. Most of all it made her happiest when she was with her family and chihuahua, Sophie.  She was the most selfless person when it came to her children.

She was preceded in death by both parents, Dallas and Joanne Jones; her sisters, Barbara Skippers and Susan Bell; her brother, Terry Jones; her nephew, Casey Jones and her lifelong best friend, Susan Bradley. Bev is survived by her siblings, Steven Jones (Debbie) and Jeff Jones; her children, Dawn Means (Jeff), Lindsay Cowden (Barry), Jamie Cowden (Tiffany), Ashana Jones, Dawnleigh Anderson (Michael); her grandchildren, David Harris, Jaylin Harris, Zachary Slaughter, Jordyn Pettey, Lila Hunter, Jamison Cowden, Kole Watson, Jessica Mewszel, Khalil Porter, Koyell Pettey and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:30 p.m., on Monday, May 24, 2021 at Weymouth Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service. Masks and social distancing will be required. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.

Mamma it will not be the same stopping by and your not there or having conversations about Sophie. Your girls are story and very stubborn you did good with raising them to be loving and compassionate. You will be missed that's for sure. Love you RIP Bev......
