Private gathering for family
With great sadness but deep peace, the family announces the passing of Beverly Jean Wing, 82. A native of Springfield, MA, she resided with her daughter, Brenda and husband in Newport News, VA, since 2014. Her accomplishments were many: a nurse, Sunday school teacher, choir member, encourager, prayer partner and friend. She loved to walk, go to the beach and ride her 3-wheel bike, sing at nursing homes and visit those that just needed a friend. Beverly's greatest legacy is her faith in the bible and the love of Jesus Christ that she lovingly shared with family, friends, and neighbors.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Stanton Douglas Wing, whom she was married to for 54 years and her parents, Ralph and Daisy Freeman. She leaves behind her brother, Wayne Freeman; her son, David Wing and wife, Becky; her daughter, Brenda and husband, Norman Pelletier; grandchildren: Amber Dean and husband, Steven, Courtney Winge and husband, David, Daniel Pelletier and wife, Liz, Hannah Green and husband Eric; great-grandchildren: Hunter, Aiden, Benedict, Eli, Evan, Elise, Afton Grace and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.
The family will be gathering privately to remember Beverly. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her memory to First Baptist Church, 50 Parker St, E. Longmeadow, MA, 01028 or Liberty Live Church "the big give", 1021 Big Bethel Rd, Hampton, Va. 23666.
