Visitation: 1:00 - 2:30 p.m., Saturday, May 15, 2021

Location: Weymouth Funeral Home

Matthew David Turner, 30, passed away Friday, April 30, 2021.  He was born in Norfolk, VA. Matt will be remembered by those who loved him most for his kind heart, sense of humor, strength, and willingness to carry the load for any and everyone.  He loved tattoos, weird tv shows, a wide variety of music, hot sauce, and being his sister’s sidekick on any random adventure.  Above all else, he loved his family - especially his children.  He never smiled bigger than when he was holding or playing with one of them.  They knew, as we all did, how big a part of his heart they were.

Matt is survived by his children, Jordan Turner and his mother, Chelsea, Aiden Turner and his mother, Danielle and Jackson Turner and Madilyn Turner and their mother, Katherine; his mother, Barbara Turner; his father, Jonathan Turner and his wife, Laura; siblings, Timothy Turner (Brittany), Michael Turner (Brittany), Lauren Turner (Jeffrey), Joey Johnson (Katie) and Sarah Johnson (Chenla); grandfather, Aubrey "Rick" New, Jr.; grandfather, Ralph Riveland (Susan); nephews, Calvin and Ethan Turner; niece, Adeline Turner and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Anne New; his uncle, Richard Riveland and his grandmother, Mary Turner.

Matthew’s care has been entrusted to Weymouth Funeral Home in Newport News.  His family will hold a visitation from 1:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the funeral home.  Everyone who loved Matt is welcomed to join his family as they share stories and memories.

Jonathan and Laura Andrew and I are so sorry for your lost. You are in our thoughts and prayers, keep y'all close to our hearts. God is with you keeping you close to His heart. And He is walking with you holding your hand on your personal journey, comforting you. And when you become weary, God will pick you up in His arms and carry you! Matt is with his Heavenly Father, now healthy and strong and at peace. God will watch over you and your families and your Matt will be watching over all of you as his sweet smiles his love upon each one of his love ones and his children. Love, Sylvia and Andrew Arbogast
