Sylvanders Morris, Jr., better known as Pete, 94, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Northampton Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center in Hampton, VA.  He was born in Kenly, NC to the late Sylvanders Morris, Sr and Betty Barnes Morris.  He was employed at Newport News Waterworks for many years, a supervisor at Hamilton Paper Company and a skilled auto mechanic.  He so loved his family and was an avid fan of baseball.

He is survived by his daughter, Linda Morris Moughamian and her husband, “Mike” of Hampton, VA; his son, Douglas “Doug” A. Bolz of Newport News, VA; his grandson, Patrick H. Haynes, IV of Chesapeake, VA; three great-grandchildren, Morgan Haynes of Smithfield, VA, Nathan and Shelby Haynes of Newport News, VA; one great-great-grandchild, Ava Widener of Smithfield, VA, and nieces and nephews.  He was very beloved and cherished by his family.
